Engineering Building Opens Doors

The much anticipated debut of the state-of-the-art Engineering and Industry Building at UAA was celebrated at a well attended ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, September 10th.  Speakers included Governor Bill Walker, Mayor Ethan Berkowitz, Senator Johnny Ellis, UA President Jim Johnsen, Chancellor Tom Case, Associate Vice Chancellor Chris Turletes, and mechanical engineering student, Joyell Acuna.

The opening of the new flagship campus building finalizes over 4-1/2 years of design and construction work, and over a decade of planning by UAA.  Livingston Slone is honored to have been entrusted with this important project for our university and our state.  We look forward to completing the makeover of the existing College of Engineering building and the construction of the new campus parking garage, thereby fulfilling the program expansion and enhancement envisioned many years ago.
